Dr Andrew Levison

Consultant Anaesthetist and Airway lead at Wexham Park. Andrew  has been part of the faculty since it started. He has a special interest in non technical skills and has been lecturing on this topic at airway workshops for over 10 years.

Andrew also has an interest in the WHO  surgical safety checklist and has been closely involved in helping to design and implement the effective use of  the current checklist at Frimley Health.

Andrew is a Terema  Human Factors trainer and ALS instructor.

Outside of medicine, Andrew is a keen general aviation  pilot with an an EASA PPL and  FAA commercial single and multiengined licenses and an instrument rating. He has also recently qualified as a Class Rating Instructor and   has over 1100 hours logged on single and multiengined light aircraft.

Tabassum Choudary

Principal ODP at Wexham Park Hospital. Tabassum has been a member of the faculty since it started and has been closely involved with organising and teaching on previous workshops

Dr Roy Fernandes

A “jobbing”  anaesthetist for 33 years, now retired from NHS practice, still enthusiastic and enjoying anaesthesia.
Roy has  gained valuable knowledge from attending difficult airway courses and hope to impart some of this in teaching.

Dr Peter Farkas

Staff Grade Anaesthetist at Wexham Park Hospital.

Peter is originally from Hungary, and has been trying to perfect his  intubation skills at Wexham Park Hospital since 1998. A proud founder member of the Wexham Advanced Airway Group, he is very  enthusiastic about the procedural skills involved with the profession. He  enjoys sharing  his  experience and practical ideas  gathered during his 30 plus years as an anaesthetist

He was co-chair and author of Ergonomics in Anaesthesia guidelines AAGBI – published in Anaesthesia December 2021.

Krish was the author of AAGBI Guidelines on Infection control in Anaesthesia published on line in March 2020 and   “Prevention and control of healthcare-associated infection in anaesthesia” (Raising the Standards in Anaesthesia, RCOA quality improvement compendium) in November 2020

Krish has a special interest in airways, Bariatric Anaesthesia and Human Factors

He is a Course Director for  ATLS courses.

Dr Ranganthan (Rangu) Iyer

Rangu recently retired from the NHS and Frimley Park NHS Trust. He was formerly the Clinical director for acute surgical services at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough until the Trusts  merged. Rangu continues to practice privately and maintains an active interest in teaching Airway, Human factors in Clinical Practice, Ultrasound in Anaesthesia and  Pain Management.

Rangu  has been and still is an active participant in all the Airway workshops at Wexham as well with the ORAG and the Elgin Airway Workshop in Scotland. He has been in the faculty of the Airway workshops organised by DAS, AAGBI and RCOA.

Dr Peter Olah

Staff Grade Anaesthetist at Wexham Park Hospital

Peter is one of the founders of the Wexham Airway group. He was a pioneering organiser for the first international airway workshop in Budapest in 2005, where for many local anaesthetists it was their first experience training in this particular field.
Peter also has extensive experience in performing percutaneous tracheostomies in ITU and has trained  many others.
Peter has had an interest in emergency airway management since he  worked as an ambulance doctor at the beginning of his career in Hungary.

Dr Manish Bhardwaj

Consultant Anaesthetist and  Regional Anaesthesia and MTI Lead, Wexham Park Hospital.

Originally trained in India, Manish consolidated his anaesthetic training from The Oxford School and associated hospitals and has been a substantive consultant  since 2012.

Manish has a special interest in Regional, Airway and Obstetric Anaesthesia and is particularly skilled in Ultrasound guided nerve blocks. Manish runs Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia Workshops nationally as well as internationally to train colleagues in these techniques and is also a core faculty member of the  Wexham Airway Group.

Outside work, he is a keen cricketer playing both in league and friendly matches, a passionate singer organising musical events raising funds for charity and also enjoys cooking, painting and travelling.

Dr Andrej Andrasovsky

Consultant Anaesthetist in Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin (Moray in Scotland), where he was appointed by NHS Grampian in May 2015. Previously, he was working for 10 years primarily in the  Intensive Care Unit and Obstetrics in Wexham Park Hospital in Slough as a Specialty Doctor Anaesthetist.
Andrej is a European Airway Management Society Airway Teacher. He founded the Slovak Airway Group in Slovakia and also established Dr Gray’s Airway Group of international airway enthusiasts. He is the lead organiser of Dr Gray’s International Airway Day in Elgin.  This is a multidisciplinary pre-hospital advanced airway workshop in the North of Scotland.
 

Dr Tamas Csermely

Dr Pushkar Dadarkar

Consultant Anaesthetist at Wexham Park Hospital. Pushkar was appointed as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Wexham Park Hospital in 2003 and joined the Wexham Airway Group soon after its inception.

His professional interests include Obstetric Anaesthesia , ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia, education and transfusion.

Outside of work, Pushkar manages the hospital football team and enjoys hiking and gardening.

Dr Omar Touma

Consultant in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine at Wexham Park Hospital. Omar has been working at Wexham Park Hospital since 2014 and has been a member of the Wexham Airway Group since.

In addition to his interest in emergency airway management, Omar has an interest in resuscitation , trauma and point of care ultrasound . Omar is an ALS and ATLS instructor and a member of  the TEAM (Training in Emergency Airway management) course faculty run by the RCOA

Captain Dave Fielding

Dave is a very experienced long haul Airline  Captain, Human Factors (HF’s) Trainer  and codirector of Wing Factors (WF’s). WF’s have been working at Frimley Health for over 3 years, observing and feeding back on the HF’s  element of medical simulations in the Trust.

 WF’s  knowledge and  input from the aviation world have proved to be very popular in understanding the important role that HF’s play in improving patient safety, especially in time critical medical emergencies.

Carolyne Hayward

Administrator and Coorganiser of Wexham Airway Group Workshops.

Carolyne has the very important job of ensuring the day runs smoothly and to time, as well as organising all the paperwork for the day.

Carolyne worked in the Wexham Park Hospital Anaesthetics Dept for almost 15 years helping out in various courses and training events.

She also  assisted at international airway courses in Debrecen, Hungary in 2009, DAS in Ascot 2013 andf Kosice, Slovakia in 2015.

Carolyne currently works as an orthopaedic plaster technician at Wexham Park and really enjoys helping out at the workshops.
